That means I run visual studio as a restricted user. Could Not Load Type Aspx pretty frustrating and confusing. I want to run a website on my department's server, but under my IIS I only see my own computer.
So now that's out of the way, I'm sort of stumped.
How can a application work without it's directive? Clean and rebuild helped. this contact form Right, but under the VS dev environment it works - I was suggesting just setting it up on a "clean-ish" app under IIS to make sure you weren't missing or forgeting
Because it was not included visual studio compiled it anyway without issues. I fixed it by going into the Web Project properties -> Build settings and changing the Output Path to be bin\ Then rebuild and all works as it should. Also check your solution's build configuration (Build menu > Configuration Manager) to check all your projects are being built to the same platform. Very stupid.
